In order to provide a forum for OR researchers, academicians, and practitioners in India to share their work and experiences, the Council of ORSI felt a need to organise Annual Convention in line of other professional bodies all over the world. The first Annual Convention was held in Calcutta in 1968.Since 1968, a total of 54 Conventions have been organized all over the India.
